Sally Oxborrow Meservy

            Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Sally Oxborrow Meservy, age 47, died November 1, 2002, along with her father, Robert M. Oxborrow and great aunt, Edith Ashby Reid, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

            Born January 1, 1955 in East Ely, Nevada, daughter of Robert Morris Oxborrow and Sara Geraldine McKenzie Oxborrow. She grew up in Lund, Nevada and Orem, Utah. Married Michael B. Meservy May 14, 1976 in the Provo Temple. She was a loving wife and mother of six. She was a mother first, a poet, artist, discoverer of talents (especially in children). She served in numerous church callings and was an extraordinary youth leader. She was exceptionally talented in music including composition, singing, playing various instruments: guitar, violin, saxophone and piano.

            Sally is loved by all who knew her and her smile was the signature of her friendship.

            She is survived by her loving husband, Mike; children, Cara (Jeff) Ray, Dallin, Tyler, Brighton, Alyssa and Sarah Jane; granddaughter, Alexa; mother Geri; brothers and sisters, Bobbie Lott, Eric, David, Michael, Ken, Margaret Peay, Steven and Nicole Oxborrow. Preceded in death by her father, Robert; brother, Gerald.

            Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 12, 2002, 12:00 Noon at the Mountain View Stake Center, 2901 West 9000 South, West Jordan. Friends and family may call Monday, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the McDougal West Jordan Mortuary, 1861 West 7800 South and Tuesday at the Church 10:30 to 11:45 prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo Cemetery.

            In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sally Meservy Memorial Fund for her children. Contribution are being accepted at Wells Fargo Bank, 2640 West 9000 South, West Jordan, UT 84088 or any Wells Fargo Branch.
