Royal Everett Bradley came to Preston with his parents, Zephaniah R. and Martha Jane Draper Bradley. He spent his early life there where he went to school and participated in the activities of the small town. He married Ethyl Baylis, a school teacher, who had come to teach there. They had one son, Harry. They moved to Ely where they lived for some time. After Everett's death Ethyl took her son Harry and went to Tacoma, Washington.
